A Family Gathering
We traveled to Columbia a few weekends before Christmas to meet up with the Adams and Smith Families. First we took to a more natural setting and then to the capitals state house buling, which made for a nice backdrop. Here are a few of the selects.
Chase & Peyton
I finally got to go out on another portrait session this weekend. They are few and far between, but I really have a lot of fun with them, when they do come around. It was a beautiful weekend. The weather was just perfect, and the fall colors are at their best right now. I met some friends down at Falls Park on the Reedy River to take some of their kids. We were the only ones that had the idea! There were quite a few other photographers out. We had fun, and the kids did great! Here are a few photos from the shoot.
The Byce Family
Christmas is right around the corner and so my sister asked me to take a few shots of her family for their annual Christmas cards. Caleb their 1.5 year old was a lot of fun, but he wasn’t too interested in taking pictures. I think we got a few good shots in the end
Josh & Rachel
Here’s one of the other couples I got to work with this past weekend. We really only went to two locations to shoot these, but each location really had multiple places to choose from and in the end, it was difficult for me to edit this set of photos. I ended up with a lot more than I would’ve liked, but this will give them plenty to choose from. They were a fun couple who really enjoyed the whole process of the shoot, and could really get into it. Thanks guys! Enjoy.
John and Kelly
The 2nd couple I shot this past weekend in Roanoke. On location at Explore Park right outside of the city along the Blue Ridge Parkway, a beautiful stretch of country. The buildings at the visitor’s center was a nice backdrop and well as a hike down to the river. John was a rather difficult subject, but thankfully Kelly helped to balance him out some, and I think we ended up with some nice shots. Hope you enjoy!
More Ben & Amanda
I’ve finally gotten most of the pictures processed from Ben and Amanda’s shoot. We shot at a few different locations, and got kicked out of one that seemed really promising, oh well. Here are a few of the final results. Enjoy!

I met them my first year at Virginia Tech, only they weren’t together then. Time, however, has changed that. They’ve been married a few years now and are changing the face of Roanoke as two of the city’s most prominent up-and-coming Architects. Thanks for inviting me up to shoot a few photos!
